A six-foot African lizard whose Leonida presence exists because someone released their pets.

The Nile Monitor is an African lizard that has established breeding populations in parts of southern Leonida, descended from released pets. They can reach six feet in length and prey on native wildlife including burrowing owl chicks and gopher tortoise eggs.
