Nurse Shark 94
Nurse Shark
SPECULATEDGinglymostoma cirratum
A bottom-dwelling shark so docile tourists routinely poke it for photos, occasionally losing fingers.
The Nurse Shark is Leonida's most docile large shark, spending most of its day resting motionless in reef caves and under ledges. Their calm demeanor has unfortunately led many tourists to approach them for photos, occasionally resulting in incidents that give all sharks a bad name.
