The front room attracts a steady trickle of genuine customers — retirees, literature students, the occasional tourist who wandered off Ocean Drive. The back room, technically closed to the public, attracts a different clientele entirely. A fireproof safe behind the 'rare books' cabinet holds inventory that doesn't show up on any receipt.
