The Eastern Lubber Grasshopper is Leonida's largest and most conspicuous grasshopper, a three-inch, flightless insect with warning coloration. Its tissues are so toxic that most birds avoid eating them, which is why they wander openly across lawns and driveways with absolute confidence.
