I-87 Roadside Motel

A long-term motel room off the interstate, deep in Leonida's pine belt.

Halfway between Vice City and nowhere, the Pinecone Inn sits on a service road off I-87, surrounded by pines, a shuttered waffle restaurant, and a 24-hour truck stop that's seen its share of interesting characters. Room 9 is at the far end of the single-story building, closest to the tree line and the back exit. It comes with a kitchenette, a lumpy queen bed, a plywood desk, and a bathroom with water pressure best described as aspirational. Truckers cycle through nightly, so an extra car in the lot never draws attention. The only camera points at the front office. Everything else you do out here is yours alone.
