Rockstar Issues Modding Policy Statement Ahead of Launch
Singleplayer modding will be tolerated within strict limits. Online modding remains strictly prohibited.
In a rare pre-launch policy statement, Rockstar outlined what kinds of modifications will and will not be permitted in Grand Theft Auto VI. Cosmetic and offline singleplayer mods receive tentative blessing, but any tampering that touches the online mode will draw bans.
