Turkey Vulture 22
Turkey Vulture
SPECULATEDCathartes aura
Nature's cleanup crew, circling patiently over the highways and hideouts of Leonida.
The Turkey Vulture is Leonida's most efficient sanitation worker, soaring on thermal updrafts while scanning for carrion with an incredibly keen sense of smell. Their circling flight pattern over roadsides and remote areas is a familiar sight — and occasionally a grim indicator of recent events. Despite their unsavory dining habits, they provide an essential ecological service in keeping Leonida's landscape clean.
