Editorial Standards

Leonida Intel exists to be the most accurate, source-cited reference on Grand Theft Auto VI on the open web. This page documents how we decide what's true, how we handle corrections, and how we stay independent.

1. The four trust tiers

Every claim on the site sits in one of four buckets, visibly tagged on the page:

CONFIRMED - green badge

Sourced from a primary, on-the-record Rockstar Games or Take-Two channel: Newswire, official trailer, press kit, store listing, earnings call transcript, or SEC filing. We link the primary source on every page.

REPORTED - cyan label

Tier-1 outlet (Bloomberg, Schreier byline, IGN, Polygon, Eurogamer, Kotaku, VGC) reporting that has not yet been confirmed by Rockstar. We name the outlet, link the article, and avoid stating the claim as fact in our own voice.

RUMOUR - yellow / "Community Speculation" banner

Any claim from a sub-reddit, anonymous leaker, fan concept, 4chan post, Discord, or unverified Twitter/X account. Rumour pages are noindex, follow'd so search engines don't rank them, and are excluded from the sitemap. They exist as a service to readers who want to track what the community is saying - never as authoritative claims.

RETRACTED - strike-through with note

If new information disproves a claim, we leave the original page up with a strikethrough on the wrong claim, an inline correction note dated to the day of the retraction, and a link to the new source. We do not silently rewrite history.

2. Editorial workflow

Inbound news and community reports go through the same source-led review before publication:

We do not fabricate quotes, invent statistics or sources, create fictional bylines, or present rumour entries as confirmed facts. Draft items remain noindex until reviewed and approved.

3. Corrections process

If you spot an error, email hello@leonida-intel.com. Our commitments:

4. Funding & conflicts

Leonida Intel is funded by Google AdSense display advertising and affiliate commissions on disclosed retail links. We do not accept paid editorial placements, sponsored news coverage, or "advertorial" arrangements with Rockstar, Take-Two, or third parties. If a future reviewer or interviewee has a conflict of interest, it'll be disclosed inline on the article.

5. Source hierarchy when sources conflict

When sources contradict each other, we apply this priority order:

  1. Official Rockstar / Take-Two on-the-record statement
  2. Take-Two SEC filing or earnings transcript
  3. First-party metadata (PSN/Xbox listings, official press kit)
  4. Tier-1 outlet with a named reporter (Schreier, Henderson, etc.)
  5. Tier-1 outlet aggregate reporting
  6. Specialist trade press (VGC, RockstarINTEL)
  7. Community speculation (only as Rumour, never above)
