GTA VI on PC: not announced
GTA VI launches on consoles only. The strongest current reporting points to early 2027, but Rockstar has said nothing. This page tracks the official status, the report and the precedent, and updates the moment Rockstar speaks.
Official
Rockstar and Take-Two have not announced a PC version, storefront, date, requirements or price.
Reported
GamesBeat reported on October 13, 2026 that Rockstar is planning a PC release in the first quarter of 2027, citing four anonymous sources. Rockstar did not comment before publication.
Scam warning
There is no GTA VI PC download, beta, launcher key or installer. Any page offering one is malware or a phishing trap. Read the scam watch.
Precedent
Every Rockstar console-to-PC gap
| Game | Console | PC | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTA III | Oct 2001 (PS2) | May 2002 | 7 months |
| GTA: Vice City | Oct 2002 (PS2) | May 2003 | 7 months |
| GTA: San Andreas | Oct 2004 (PS2) | Jun 2005 | 8 months |
| GTA IV | Apr 2008 | Dec 2008 | 7 months |
| GTA V | Sep 2013 | Apr 2015 | 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | Oct 2018 | Nov 2019 | 13 months |
| GTA VI | Nov 2026 | Reported Q1 2027 | 2 to 5 months if true |
GTA V reached PC about 18 months after its console launch. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about 13 months. A Q1 2027 release would be Rockstar's shortest PC gap since GTA IV.
What to watch
Signals that would move this
-
9 Nov 2026
Take-Two Q2 FY2027 earnings call. Analysts usually ask about PC; any change in wording matters.
-
19 Nov 2026
Launch day. Rockstar has historically announced PC versions months after console launch, not on day one.
-
Feb 2027
Take-Two Q3 earnings. A Q1 2027 PC launch would almost certainly be dated by then if the GamesBeat report is right.
-
Ongoing
Rockstar Games Launcher, Steam and Epic store data. A storefront page is the strongest early signal.
PC FAQ
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Rockstar and Take-Two have not announced a PC version, storefront, date, requirements or price. Every previous mainline GTA has reached PC, so a PC version is widely expected but not confirmed.
When will GTA 6 come out on PC?
There is no official date. GamesBeat reported on October 13, 2026 that Rockstar is planning a PC release in the first quarter of 2027, citing four anonymous sources. Rockstar did not comment before publication.
Can I play GTA 6 on PC on November 19?
No. GTA VI launches 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Any site offering a PC download, beta or installer before Rockstar announces one is a scam.
What are the GTA 6 PC requirements?
Rockstar has not published PC requirements. Leonida Intel's PC Lab is a forecast model based on the console hardware and Rockstar's previous PC releases, clearly labelled as a forecast.
Will GTA 6 be on Xbox Cloud or Game Pass on PC?
Not announced. Xbox denied a report of exclusive cloud streaming in October 2026. GTA VI has not been announced for Game Pass.
