Rockstar has not published an unlock time. PlayStation and Xbox store listings point to a rolling unlock at midnight local time in each region on November 19, starting with New Zealand at 11:00 UTC on November 18 and ending with Mexico City at 06:00 UTC on November 19. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are the confirmed launch platforms. PC has not been announced. GamesBeat reported on October 13, 2026 that Rockstar is planning a PC release in the first quarter of 2027, citing anonymous sources, but Rockstar has not commented. GTA V and RDR2 both reached PC after their console launches.

PlayStation's official GTA VI page says PS5 Pro Enhanced. Exact frame rates, resolution targets, ray tracing modes, storage size and performance/fidelity options remain unconfirmed.

No. Only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are confirmed. A Nintendo platform is not expected.

Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval are the two confirmed protagonists. Rockstar officially describes Lucia as the first female protagonist in a mainline Grand Theft Auto since GTA 1. They form a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style duo.

Rockstar has not officially announced the voice actress. Multiple credible outlets have reported Manni L. Perez in association with the role based on industry reporting, but until Rockstar confirms in official credits, treat it as unconfirmed.

Leonida - a fictional state modeled heavily on Florida. The primary city is Vice City, a spiritual successor to the 2002 GTA: Vice City setting, but reimagined in a modern era. Other regions glimpsed include Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Mount Kalaga, Kelly County, and the Grassrivers wetlands.

No - the geography is re-imagined. Neighborhoods like Ocean View, Washington Beach, and Little Havana return in name and spirit, but the layout, scale, and specific landmarks are new.

Rockstar has not published a square-mile figure. In the September 2026 Game Informer cover story, Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut said the map is about twice the size of GTA V's and the studio's biggest by some degree. Press interviews around the Extended Look also quoted Rockstar describing it as roughly three times the playable area of Red Dead Redemption 2. Those are official but relative figures; any exact area number online is an estimate.

Rockstar has not published an official length. Rockstar North's Rob Nelson told press his own playthrough took about 80 hours including optional goals with narrative consequences. Treat that as one developer's run, not a typical player's main-story time.

Uncertain. GTA V had no single-player DLC (Rockstar pivoted entirely to GTA Online content). Dan Houser's departure in 2020 and Rockstar's online-first strategy suggest the same pattern for GTA VI - but no decision has been confirmed.

Rockstar has used collector-style releases before, including Red Dead Redemption 2's Collector's Box. No GTA VI collector's edition has been announced.

In September 2022, a hacker (later identified as part of the Lapsus$ group) leaked over 90 early development videos and source code fragments. Rockstar confirmed the breach in a Newswire statement. The incident did not delay the game, but accelerated official messaging - Rockstar's Sept 2022 statement was the first formal acknowledgment of GTA VI's development. Exact development and marketing costs are not public. Large online estimates circulate because of GTA VI's long cycle and scale, but Leonida Intel treats any precise budget number as unconfirmed.

Yes. Take-Two says digital pre-load begins on November 12, 2026. Rockstar Store also says physical code-in-box copies are available from that date to support pre-loading. Rockstar has not published an install size. Figures circulating online, including a widely shared 228 GB number, are estimates or fabrications, not official. Clear more space than you think you need and leave room for a day-one update.

Yes. Rockstar's official GTA VI pages carry an ESRB Mature 17+ rating with Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Nudity and In-Game Purchases descriptors. The Rockstar Store page lists PEGI 18 for Europe.

Yes. The August 27, 2026 Extended Look shows switching between Jason and Lucia, with the pair messaging by phone when apart. Rockstar says their relationship shapes the story and can be played as romantic or platonic. Whether switching is available at all times or gated in some missions has not been detailed.

The Extended Look confirms the wanted system returns with up to six stars. Police react to clothing, appearance and vehicle, so escaping can mean changing clothes, dumping a compromised car or hiding. A separate criminal profile tracks behaviour across the game and does not reset the way a wanted level does.

Rockstar has not announced GTA VI cheat codes. The series has a long cheat-code history, but specific codes should be treated as unknown until launch.

Yes. Rockstar's October 8, 2026 radio announcement confirms radio and on-demand podcasts can play on foot through in-game headphones and earbuds connected to Jason and Lucia's smartphones, a first for the series.
