Killdeer

A plover that fakes broken wings to lure intruders away from its gravel-parking-lot nests.

The Killdeer is one of Leonida's most performative birds, famous for its broken-wing distraction display used to draw predators away from nests. Despite being technically a shorebird, it prefers gravel parking lots and rooftops for nesting, making every Leonida gas station a potential maternity ward.
