Bonnethead Shark
SPECULATEDSphyrna tiburo
A miniature hammerhead found in Leonida's shallow grass flats and inshore bays.
The Bonnethead is the smallest of the hammerhead sharks, distinguished by its shovel-shaped rather than hammer-shaped head. They frequent Leonida's shallow inshore waters, hunting crabs and small fish in grass flats where larger sharks won't go.
