Leaf Links

SPECULATED

Landmark — Vice City

An island golf course in Vice City's bay, reachable by bridge or boat, where the membership dues could fund a small army and the members know it.

Leaf Links is the golf course that money built, on an island that money created, for members who made their money by means that usually don't stand up to public scrutiny. The 18-hole championship course wraps around the entire small island, with fairways built on reclaimed land and greens maintained to a standard that consumes an obscene amount of Leonida's freshwater. The bridge access from Vice Point is gated and staffed around the clock, and the alternate access via the member marina is reserved for yachts above a certain length. The clubhouse is a gleaming modern structure with a helipad on the roof for the members who find the bridge inconvenient. On any given Saturday you might find an ex-governor, a shipping magnate, a pop star, and a man whose actual line of work would not survive a congressional hearing, all paired together in a foursome and making deals between putts.
