Little Haiti

SPECULATED

Neighborhood — Vice City

A vibrant Haitian-American enclave north of Crosstown where Kreyol signage outnumbers English and the botanicas sell solutions the pharmacies don't carry.

Little Haiti is an island of Port-au-Prince dropped into the middle of Vice City — a neighborhood where the colors are brighter, the food is spicier, and the cultural pride runs as deep as the old country roots. The main drag is a strip of storefronts painted red and blue, lettered in French, Kreyol, and occasionally English for the benefit of anyone lost, offering everything from barber services to botanica spellwork to the best fried goat this side of the Caribbean. The community is tight, suspicious of outsiders until you prove you're not stupid, and extraordinarily loyal to its own. There's been a long-simmering tension with some of the criminal factions operating in adjacent neighborhoods — Little Haiti has its own, thank you, and they'd prefer everyone else mind their business. The cultural center hosts music nights, political meetings, and the occasional fundraiser for causes that don't appear on any ballot.
