Storm Chaser

Random Event SPECULATED

Random coastal location in Leonida

A tropical storm hits Leonida, creating chaos across the map — and opportunity for those crazy enough to drive into it.

Leonida's weather doesn't just set the mood — it reshapes the world. 'Storm Chaser' triggers dynamically when one of the game's tropical storm events rolls across the map, transforming the normally sunny landscape into a howling nightmare of rain, wind, and flying debris. The sky turns black, palm trees bend sideways, and the streets begin to flood as the storm intensifies. During the peak of the storm, a distress call comes over the radio — someone is trapped near the coast, and emergency services are overwhelmed. Getting to them means driving through conditions that would make a reasonable person stay home: flooded intersections where your vehicle can stall or get swept away, downed power lines sparking across the road, and wind gusts strong enough to push your car across lanes. The visual and audio design during the storm is meant to be one of GTA VI's showcase moments — rain hammering the windshield so hard the wipers can't keep up, lightning illuminating the chaos in strobing flashes, and the roar of wind drowning out everything else. Reaching the stranded NPC and delivering them to a shelter before the storm's eye passes earns you a cash reward and a unique vehicle variant with storm damage cosmetics that can't be obtained any other way.
