After a botched meet goes sideways, Jason and Lucia flee into the Grassrivers on foot and by airboat.

What should have been a quick handoff at a remote boat ramp turns into a full-blown ambush when a rival crew opens fire from the tree line. Cut off from their vehicle, Jason and Lucia sprint through saw grass toward the water, where a battered airboat offers the only way out. The Grassrivers sequence is a showcase for GTA VI's new water traversal, weaving through narrow mangrove channels with helicopter searchlights sweeping overhead and rifle rounds clipping the cypress knees. Wildlife, weather, and geography all become tactical factors — a well-timed pass through an alligator-thick lagoon can convince pursuers they've chosen the wrong hobby.
