The photography system in Leonida is deep enough to be its own game. Your phone starts with a basic camera; upgrades unlock DSLR-style equipment with manual exposure, depth-of-field, and telephoto capability. The photo subjects fill out into categories: landscapes, wildlife, landmarks, street life, and paparazzi (celebrities behaving badly, which in Vice City is every celebrity all of the time). Social media engagement scales with quality and subject desirability, and certain editors will pay top dollar for shots of specific targets. The scenic-spot discovery system credits the first player to photograph a location, which has been known to cause unhealthy levels of competition among players who take the in-game leaderboard very seriously.
