The cruise terminal is a spectacle unto itself: a gleaming modern building where thousands of vacationers per day waddle off floating hotels and immediately begin the sacred ritual of buying overpriced souvenirs and taking selfies with the skyline behind them. Adjacent to the tourist circus, the commercial docks operate with brutal efficiency, cranes swinging containers like building blocks while trucks queue up along the harbor road waiting for their loads.
