Darts
SPECULATEDLeisure — Medium
Toss tungsten at cork in dive bars across Leonida, where the chalkboard scoring system is sacred and beating the house champion can start genuine blood feuds.
Darts in Leonida lives where it's always lived: under a single buzzing fluorescent tube, in the back corner of a bar where the chalkboard has been used for scoring so many times it's literally concave in the middle. The game mechanics are surprisingly deep — tungsten weight matters, grip pressure affects release consistency, and the arcade-style aiming system rewards real rhythm rather than twitch reflexes. Every bar has its house champion, a regular who has been practicing 501 for three decades and will take your money with a thin smile and a shot of well whiskey on you. Work your way through the Port Gellhorn pub league, the Ambrosia county-line circuit, and the semi-mythical Hamlet four-way-stop tournament, where the prize is a trophy cup made of welded horseshoes and the respect of people who will never respect you. Side bets escalate quickly, particularly in the later rounds, and certain bars have backrooms where the stakes get genuinely uncomfortable.
