Bar Hopping
SPECULATEDLeisure — Easy
Drink your way across Leonida's extraordinary bar ecosystem, from Ocean Drive rooftops to swamp-shack tiki bars, with physics that genuinely penalize overindulgence.
Leonida has an almost alarming density of bars, and exploring that ecosystem is its own kind of content. Each establishment has its own layout, clientele, drink menu, jukebox, and local rules: the Ocean Drive rooftop spots charge twenty-two dollars for a cocktail and expect your shoes to cost more than that; the Port Gellhorn longshoreman bars sell you a shot and a beer for six dollars and a pointed question about what you're doing here; the Keys tiki shacks serve rum drinks in hollowed-out coconuts while a parrot watches disapprovingly; and the Ambrosia roadhouses run on a cash-only basis and have an unwritten 'no wandering into the back room' rule that you should respect. Drinking affects your character's motor control progressively and visibly — vision blurs, reactions slow, steering drifts, and AI NPCs start reacting to you differently. Get drunk enough and the screen fades out, and you'll wake up somewhere else with missing items and a text message you don't remember sending.
