White-Tailed Deer

SPECULATED

Odocoileus virginianus

Graceful woodland creatures that exist primarily to leap in front of your car on Mount Kalaga back roads.

The White-Tailed Deer is Leonida's most common large mammal, found throughout the state's forests and rural areas. These graceful herbivores are most active at dawn and dusk, which coincidentally is when they're most likely to leap in front of vehicles on Kelly County back roads. Hunting deer is a popular activity in rural Leonida, where venison is considered a staple protein.
