The Malibu Club has been the center of Vice City nightlife for longer than most of its current patrons have been alive. Three levels of dance floor pulse to a house DJ residency that draws international names on weekends, but the real club is the one you don't see from the main floor: an underground VIP room accessible only through a specific door in the men's restroom, which is where Vice City's actual business happens. The door policy is legendary for its selective cruelty — you can be a B-list celebrity and wait two hours, or a nobody with the right handshake and walk straight past. The on-site restaurant is technically legitimate and serves decent steaks, but it functions primarily as a cover operation with a ledger that accountants have learned not to examine too closely. The club has survived three ownership changes, two RICO investigations, one attempted arson, and approximately eleven hundred celebrity meltdowns, and it remains the single most recognizable nightlife institution in the state.
