Vice City Metro
CONFIRMADOPunto de interés — Vice City
The city's elevated and underground rapid transit system, connecting districts with rattling trains that are about 70 percent reliable and 100 percent characterful.
The Vice City Metro is the transit system Vice City deserves and mostly endures — a seven-line network of elevated and underground rail that moves a million passengers a day through the metropolitan area, usually mostly on time. The trains are loud, graffitied to the point that the official paint job is a rumor, and characterized by a HVAC system that produces either arctic chill or sauna conditions with no middle setting. But the Metro works, after a fashion: you can get from Vice Beach to Port Gellhorn for the price of a coffee, which beats sitting in the causeway traffic. The system has its own ecosystem of regulars — the dawn-shift dockworkers, the after-school kids, the buskers who've claimed specific cars as their territory, the unhoused who ride to stay cool, and the occasional pickpocket working the tourist-heavy lines. Late-night the Metro becomes its own kind of theater, and more than one Vice City story has started with a 2 AM red line ride that definitely should have been a cab.
