The GTA VI trailer gave us a glimpse of Lucia behind bars — orange jumpsuit, mugshot, the works. 'The Great Escape' is the payoff of that setup: a full-scale prison break that ranks among the most ambitious action sequences in GTA history. The mission begins inside the Leonida State Correctional Facility, where Lucia has been incarcerated following events earlier in the story. A carefully orchestrated plan — set in motion by Jason from the outside — triggers a distraction that throws the prison into chaos. Playing as Lucia, you'll navigate the cell blocks during a riot, making split-second decisions about which routes to take and who to trust among the other inmates. The prison yard becomes a warzone as guards try to restore order with tear gas and rubber bullets. Reaching the extraction point means fighting through barriers, locked doors, and the prison's automated security systems. Once outside the walls, the mission shifts gears into a high-speed pursuit across the Leonida countryside, with state police, helicopters, and roadblocks between you and freedom. The mission's successful completion unlocks the full dual-protagonist switching system, allowing players to freely swap between Jason and Lucia for the rest of the game.
