Vice Point

The upscale northern tip of Vice Beach, where high-rise condos loom over the ocean and the money is newer than the sand.

Vice Point is where Ocean Drive runs out of Art Deco and starts running into money — specifically, the kind of money that wants a thirtieth-floor view, an indoor parking garage, and a doorman who remembers not to ask questions. The high-rise condo towers here went up in waves through the 2000s and 2010s, each one glassier and blander than the last, and they house a mix of finance types, foreign investors who may have never set foot in the unit, retired cartel associates, and Vice City's legitimately wealthy. The shopping promenade running between the towers and the beach is an open-air cathedral of luxury retail where every third storefront is a watch boutique. The beach itself is technically public but the access points have been discreetly landscaped to discourage anyone who wasn't invited.
