Osprey

A fish-hunting raptor that builds nests on every power pole, cell tower, and traffic camera in the state.

The Osprey is Leonida's most visible raptor, building massive stick nests on virtually every elevated structure near water. These specialized fish-hunters hover over the surface before plunging feet-first to snatch their prey with reversible outer toes. Their piercing whistle call is the soundtrack of Leonida's coastline, and their nest-building habits have caused more power outages than any hurricane.
