Rockstar Games broke its silence on August 26 after roughly a week in which dozens of unofficial Grand Theft Auto VI videos circulated on social media. The statement, posted to the Rockstar Games X account, said having videos of the game appear that way had been heartbreaking for the team and was not how Rockstar intended fans to see the game after so long.

Leonida Intel context

Rockstar's answer to the videos was to publish 26 minutes of official footage within 24 hours. That reset the reference point, which is why this site only cites official material for mechanics.

The post apologised for how long the game has taken and for the wait for official gameplay, said the game was nearly finished, and asked fans to hold on for the November 19 release even though some spoilers might now affect the experience. It confirmed the Extended Look presentation would arrive the following day.

Leonida Intel does not host, embed or link to the unofficial footage. Material from unfinished builds can change before release, so anything seen only in those videos is tagged as unconfirmed here. The Extended Look and later official posts are the reference for confirmed mechanics.
