Is GTA 6 on PS4, Xbox One or Switch 2?
GTA 6 is only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Why there is no PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch 2 version, what about cloud streaming, and the cheapest way to play on 19 November.
No. Grand Theft Auto VI is only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch 2 version, and none has been announced.

Why no last-gen version
Rockstar built GTA VI only for current-generation hardware. The game streams a much denser world from fast SSD storage, which PS4 and Xbox One do not have. GTA V did launch on PS3 and Xbox 360, but that was before a generation change; GTA VI arrives six years into the current one.
What about cloud streaming?
Rockstar has not announced GTA VI for Xbox Cloud Gaming or PlayStation cloud streaming, and Xbox denied a report of exclusive cloud streaming in October 2026. Treat any “play GTA 6 on PS4 via cloud” offer as unofficial.
Cheapest way to play on 19 November
- Xbox Series S is the lowest-cost current console, but storage is tight; see GTA 6 on Series S.
- PS5 Slim or standard PS5 for the PlayStation version, which Rockstar badges as Plays Best On PS5.
